New Video: Chelsea Wolfe “Feral Love”

While I’d say get ready to hear Chelsea Wolfe‘s track “Feral Love” a whole lot, as it will be featured in the Game Of Thrones Season 4 Trailer, it’s much too dark and existentially fraught to be ubiquitously put on repeat like Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive“, which closed out True Blood’s 2013 season finale! This week the artist released a stunning new video for the cut, which can be found on her Pain Is Beauty LP out now on Sargent House, and it is directed by Mark Pellington, well known for his iconic work with top-tier acts like U2, Nine Inch Nails, Michael Jackson, and others. “Feral Love” actually culls visual material from a larger, full-length film called Lone, on which Wolfe and Pellington have collaborated, and will release sometime in 2014. Using lyrics from Pain Is Beauty as the film’s only dialogue, the director says this of the project,

“Chelsea Wolfe’s voice and lyrics narrate this voyeuristic look into the abstract, cathartic subconscious. Lone is a sight and sound exploration into the themes of nature, sexuality, memory, mortality, forgiveness, love, innocence, fragility, violence and beauty.”

Chelsea Wolfe will play live tonight in San Antonio, TX at the Majestic Theatre with Queens of the Stone Age. You can check out the rest of the dates after the video!
