Clark returns with his Superscope 12″ out on March 11th via Warp Records. This will be the producer’s first release of new material since 2012’s gorgeously layered and sonically diverse LP Iradelphic. While that magnificent record fused acoustic and electronic approaches into a folk inflected and psychedelic journey across genres, “Superscope” returns Clark to the dance floor with a massive slab of energetic techno.
This track is monumental, and on it the UK-born, Berlin-based producer boils his dance floor strategies down to their most potent essence as he induces a crew of skyscraper-sized robots into the kind of kinetics that crushes all in sight! Both “Superscope” and the 12″‘s B-side “Riff Through The Fog” were developed with Clark’s audio/visual live show Phosphor in mind. As such, they are meant to match that show’s oscilloscope imagery. To check out what that might look like, watch the video for “Superscope” directed by Vincent Oliver.
Clark also has several upcoming Phosphor performances, and you can find a list below.
