OFF! continues to kick out hardcore as vital as when Keith Morris and company first helped coalesce the West coast’s Reagan-era punk scene, and on April 8th the band will release their new Wasted Years LP via Vice Records. To celebrate the event, Noisey and director Jason Farrell recently caught up with the band to make the video for “Void You Out“, which not only features a live performance of this track recorded last month at The Casbah in San Diego, but also a little behind the scenes face-time with the band. In the video, singer Keith Morris explains, while burning a breakfast of eggs in his kitchen, “We’re all a bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts strung out on this music thang”; while later, Steven Shane McDonald discusses his feelings for cops and hippies, drummer Mario Rubalcaba muses on the relationship between skateboarding and drumming, and guitarist Dimitri Coats prepares to do his best Brian Jones in a swimming pool full of empty vodka bottles.
