Death Grips insist, “100%!! I used to give a fuck”, but as a great man once said, ” I think thou dost protest too much”…Last week the band posted this video for their track “No Love“, which was off their 2012 release No Love Deep Web, and it features some truly feral images of the band performing “live”. Okay, well, this was probably not recorded live, since Death Grips have backed out of most any performance appearance that they’ve agreed to, however, the video still contains some killer images of Zach Hill, MC Ride, and Flatlander ripping “No Love” to shreds. Using an interesting color tearing effect to create a ghostly alternate image of each member of the band, we watch as Zach Hill attacks his drum set with hands and sticks, or carries a monitor on his back like Sisyphus. Meanwhile, MC Ride unleashes a stream of consciousness rant full of hysteria and paranoia while standing on his hands or jamming his head inside Hill’s bass drum, as an eerily masked Flatlander carves up synth-lines of grave dirt in his black hooded cape!
