Video Premiere: Lorelle Meets the Obsolete “Sealed Scene”

Totally stoked to premiere Lorelle Meets the Obsolete‘s new video for the track “Sealed Scene“, off their 2014 LP Chambers, out now via Captcha Records. The video’s protagonist is a fin de siècle vagabond who lives in his car passing the proverbial slow agony of time in a liquid light show haze, or walking the cities more industrial environs stealing gasoline, and searching for that “angry fix”. Utilizing liberal helpings of revery-inducing fog and blur, 60’s-style visuals, and a downwardly spiraling narrative arc, the video for “Sealed Scene” matches this track’s seriously sea-sick sonics! Lorena Quintanilla and Alberto González continue to carve out their music from equal parts of beauty and terror, and on this cut they balance an arresting, siren-like wail with fast-chugging, motorik rhythms, and Quintanilla’s narcotic-sweet vocals.
