Tacocat has a new video today for their track “Hey Girl” off the Seattle band’s NVM LP out now on Hardly Art. Directed by Eric J. Olson and James Smith, it features awesome animation using hand drawn cut-outs and pushpin figures as the ladies in Tacocat offer a public service reminder riot grrrl style.
“Hey Girl” hits ’em where it hurts, right in the douchebag. Offering a little re-schooling, this is Feminism 101, topic…the male gaze! Mr. Creepy Business Dad, leering construction worker, pocket-pool-playing frat boy, ya’ll know who you are!
Tacocat is currently wrapping up a US tour, but there’s still time to catch the band if you live in the midwest as they play tonight in Detroit at Elijah‘s.
