The Brighton-based Faux Discx label owner and musician Dan Reeves returns with his The Soft Walls project, as he gets set to release his upcoming LP No Time on July 29th via Chicago’s Trouble In Mind label. Recorded last year and mixed at Suburban Home Studios this past January, “Guided Through” is our first listen in on Reeves’ potent, new psychedelic offering. Blaring sun strums straight through the track right from the outset, and as a slowed down, face-melting Love and Rockets vibe settles in, a repetitive bass throb provides a consistently buoyant body high. Reeves’ vocals are acid washed into the reverberating brew, and serve to add further, head swirling layers to “Guided Through”‘s blaringly textured sonics!
