Today we take a look at Mogwai‘s new video for “Simon Ferocious“, which is the second track on the band’s January 2014 LP Rave Tapes, out now on Sub Pop. Directed by the photographer and filmmaker Antony Crook, the video features beautifully shot footage of sky divers in free-fall, and as they twist and somersault with acrobatic ease an unmistakeable feeling for the pure joy of living is demonstrated in their surrender to the elements. The video is really the perfect visual echo for the slow blissful burn of “Simon Ferocious”, a track which seems to be suspended high in the rarified air, riding the updrafts and swirling air currents with knowing ease!
