Bremen‘s 2xLP Second Launch is out now on Blackest Ever Black, and today we preview the extraordinary ambient psychedelia of “Static Interferences“. Bremen is an improvisational duo that joins together two heavyweights from Sweden’s avant music underground, guitarist Lanchy Orre and organist Jonas Tiljander, both members of the seminal punk band Brainbombs. The pair’s long musical history together becomes increasingly apparent on this 15-minute track, as they patiently unfold their sonic dialogue with the Void. Using the notion of “Space” as their conceptual guide, as evidenced by the seemingly Buddhist influenced text which accompanies the work, where the pair explains: “the emptiness of space…will never crumble away because it was never born”; here, Orre and Tiljander also employ drone and a minimal, ambient psychedelia, to explore Space’s aural equivalents!
