Today we have some primo spaz rock from Baltimore bros Dope Body, with this new track “Hired Gun“. The cut is off the quartet’s upcoming LP Lifer, due out on Drag City October 21st. For “Hired Guns” the boys get tanked on a grunge fueled binge of trashy glam, unleashing fried-out guitar solos, growling low end, and Andrew Laumann‘s drunken, shout-a-long vocals. The result is pretty epic, and just about half way in, after crash landing in a pile of flaming feedback, these gents cool out into a woozy sounding face melt, before building themselves back up into a massive sonic burnout! Dope Body will play some upcoming East coast live dates in the late summer and fall, so check ’em out…
