Funktionslust is a London-based duo, and while at the moment their seems to be a dearth of biographical data concerning the pair, we do know that they’ve just self-released their first single, Likeability/Seats, via iTunes. Today we preview the B-side “Seats“, and it’s quite the promising cut. While “Likeability” seems to lean in a more funky, dance friendly direction, “Seats” captures an introspective mood. Darkly tinged synth-pop and a strong female vocal performance distinguish this cut, as well as it’s clean and modern production, which really allows the track’s air of mystery to pervade the audio space, and cast it’s dream-like spell!
