Lets Cry And Do Pushups At The Same Time is the upcoming LP from Luke Wyatt‘s Torn Hawk project, and it’s due out on November 11th via Mexican Summer. Today we preview the track “I’m Flexible“, and it finds a cloud watching day-glo dreamer beneath Wyatt’s tough guy demeanor. Here, a perma-grinned bliss pervades as the artist uses guitar, drum machine, synthesizer, and samples to build an airy, sequenced instrumental that soars into bubbling and refracting emotional colors, carrying the listener into it’s singular, and eminently musical world! This YouTube audio track is accompanied by the “video mulch” aesthetic that Wyatt is known for when exploring his visual interests, as it finds him manipulating pictures of himself, and the Torn Hawk logo, into a jumble of window-views that appropriate and parody our daily digital life. Torn Hawk will begin a tour of Europe this coming September, so don’t miss those dates below!
