White Hills have reissued their formerly self-released Glitter Glamour Atrocity LP from 2007, and it’s out now on Thrill Jockey. Formerly only a limited edition CD, the album has now been properly mastered by Heba Kadry at Timeless Mastering, and, in addition to it’s release on CD, has also now been pressed to virgin vinyl. Glitter Glamour Atrocity features an early line-up of the trio with the long standing duo of Dave W. (vocals, guitar, synthesizers, sound collage) and Ego Sensation (bass, vocals) being joined by drummer Bob Bellomo, who also recorded the LP at his studio in Passaic, NJ. The album contains the track “Under Skin Or By Name“, a staple of White Hills live set, as well as a featured track in Jim Jarmusch‘s recent vampire flick, Only Lovers Left Alive. The video for “Spirit Of Exile“, another strong track off the album, was filmed and edited by the band’s Dave W., and it features a psychedelic smattering of footage shot during the making of Jarmusch’s film, as well as during the parties leading up to it’s release.
