Few do broken-hearted loser with the kind of unnerving beauty of Seattle songstress Jenn Ghetto! The artist returns with her project S releasing the Cool Choices LP today on Hardly Art. Additionally, she has a new video for the album’s wincingly effacing cut “Losers“!
Produced, engineered and recorded by Chris Walla of Death Cab for Cutie, he lends a warmth to the record’s chilly emotional terrain. Warming the track’s piano to an amber glow, Ghetto once again reveals herself to be a true poetess of the romantically downtrodden. Capable of making her self lyrically vulnerable in way that few can, the artist explores love’s loss with uncanny honesty and devastatingly straightforward phrasing. The video for the track is directed by Finch Wolfe and Ms Ghetto and it uses intimate, self-revealing images to match the song’s naked emotions.
