Boston’s Guerilla Toss throw a technicolor blur of noise and rhythm into the “electro-clash” blender to deliver their jam-fried new EP Smack the Brick, due out November 18th on cassette via NNA Tapes, as well as on LP thru Feeding Tube Records. The group has recently added Pat Keuhn and NNA Tapes’ Toby Aronson into it’s riotous fold, and they seem to bring a funkadelic addition to the band’s heavy grooved cacophony. Singer Kassie Carlson helps lead the way on “Be the Breeder“, madly exhaling the words “breathe/breed out” over and over into a vocal delirium, while the band’s rhythm section locks into a broken sequencer groove stuck on repeat. Full of psychedelic left turns and manic creative energy, “Be the Breeder” blares thru styles, led by it’s intricate, prog-inspired rhythms and Carlson’s riveting vocal attack. Guerilla Toss play several Northeast dates next month, including Death by Audio in NYC on November 19th, before heading off to tour Europe into December…
