Death Grips continue to defy logic and explanation in 2015…Last year the trio disbanded in the middle of releasing the powers that b, a 2xLP set that was to be comprised of the albums Niggas On The Moon and Jenny Death. The announcement of the break-up came only weeks after having put out the first installment, Niggas On The Moon–an album which “features” Björk on every track; and with the promise of Jenny Death still forthcoming, Death Grips claimed the 2xLP would be complete sometime in 2015. While the band has not yet officially confirmed Amazon’s reported release date of February 10th for the 2xLP, and with their status as a creative entity seriously in doubt, per their own reports, we now have a new, surprise instrumental soundtrack from out of nowhere! And, in typical Death Grips style, Fashion Week is available as a free download from the band’s website. What does it all mean?! Well, oblique hints abound, as each track is eponymously titled and then differentiated by a letter, with the final results spelling “JENNY DEATH WHEN“. Yeah man, that’s what we want to know!
