The Afghan Whigs have a new video for their track “The Lottery“, off the band’s 2014 LP Do to the Beast, out now on Sub Pop. Staring their “monitor engineer” and resident “cougar magnet” Ryan O’Hara, this behind the scenes peak affords O’Hara his fifteen minutes of fame, but probably won’t get him booked on Dancing with the Stars. That’s okay, though, cause if lead man Greg Dulli falls ill, it looks like the Whigs might have quite the competent understudy!
Wanna know more about Mr. O’Hara and his superb bro-stylings? Well, Dulli informs us: “[Ryan] wakes up everyday with a smile on his face and something positive to share with you. Every night during the gig he performs a parallel show behind the board and it’s phenomenal to watch. Occasionally, I’ll forget to sing because I’m watching him turn into Bez from Happy Mondays…”.
