This past weekend Destruction Unit released a new video for “Final Flight” off the band’s 2013 LP Deep Trip (Sacred Bones). Directed by Cali Thornhill DeWitt, the video collages together live footage with a host of other strange and desolate imagery. Bleak landscape shots, a shaman-like Chi master, and decomposing skulls all make for a dramatic backdrop as this video moves between it’s various realms. Still though, the most striking element of “Final Flight” is watching Ryan Rousseau and company in the throes of some serious noise making–as he and his small army break the sound barrier and blast off for oblivion.
Destruction Unit head out for a short US tour this coming March, and as the video reveals, this amazing beast of a band is not to be missed live!
