Squarepusher has released the new track “Stor Eiglass” off his upcoming LP Damogen Furies due out April 20th via Warp. Tom Jenkinson explains that the album will explore: “the hallucinatory, the nightmarish and the brutally visceral capacities of electronic music”. This new cut is built around a variously patterned synth line set against punishing drum n’ bass; and while the rhythm elements provide some jaw clenching and speedy grit, the more neon toned hues of the track’s melody make “Stor Eiglass” a tad less nightmarish than hallucinatory.
Squarepusher will play select US dates this coming April, as well as having a fairly extensive world tour planned in which he will debut work from the upcoming album, as well as a “whole new dynamic visual show”. Check out the dates below…
