Marinating on a single riff until it’s utterly stewed in it’s juices never sounded so fun, until someone gave these cats a blow torch, vacuum cleaner, and a broken guitar! The equally impressive and eye blazing opticals, here, are provided by brownshoesonly and RadioEditAV. Brownshoesonly design analog video synthesizers “within the LZX Industries design specifications”, another boutique builder of vintage video hardware, and the effects can be seen all over “Early Surf”. Using the technology in real time to project their own images back onto themselves, the band is seen composited into psychedelic layers and bathed in saturated hues of neon day-glo.
