Today we check out the new video for Shlohmo‘s killer track “Beams“, which will close his upcoming LP Dark Red, due out April 7th via True Panther Sounds/WeDidIt. Ever wanted to hop an open air ride on the back of a subway car or streak naked thru the Corner Mart while enjoying a long night of reckless excess…The video for “Beams” came together when WeDidIt co-founder Nick Melons discovered director Jack Irving on Vine, where the young New Yorker would post 6 second videos of his urban escapades shot to his iPhone. Reminding Melons of an updated version of Kids, the images here stitch together a dizzy and punishing all-nighter–the perfect accompaniment for the exuberant melodies and libidinal rhythms of “Beams”.
Shlohmo heads out later this month for a fairly extensive tour of the US, with dates in the UK and Europe also planned. Here are those dates…
