Last week we checked out onYou‘s head blazing cover of the Charles Manson track “I’m On Fire“, and now the band has posted this brand new video for the cut. Comprised of live footage shot at Enfield Audio Recordings in Chicago, while the band recorded the song, Captcha Records’ label boss Benjamin Funke has put the images thru some heavy processing to achieve this very cool hand sketched look. Composited shots of band members Stan Wood, Mikey Ricketts, Michael Neuhaus, Bobby Lewis, and Chris Cowgill are rendered in simple, charcoal-like lines of varying complexity, as the original video here has been “subtracted” to reveal glowing white spaces and and sparse animated figuration. Pretty nifty! OnYou’s I’m On Fire mini-LP is out now via Captcha Records, but if you want a copy on vinyl you better act fast, as they are limited and sell out quickly.
