Lengthen and unwind with THEESatisfaction‘s new video for “EarthEE“, the title track off the Seattle duo’s 2015 LP out now on Sub Pop. Directed by Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes, and featuring guest appearances from Porter Ray and Ishmael Butler, who also provide vocals on the track, the visuals composite green screened images of the song’s various rappers over gorgeous backgrounds of mandala-like shapes. Describing the video, Alley-Barnes explains that it’s “a short visual meditation on the textile traditions of home, sacred Geo Metrics, theta based communication and the whirling dervish. A sonically driven work of ancient Afro continuum…”.
THEESatisfaction is currently playing live dates in Portugal, before returning to the Northwest for several live show. In addition, the crew has DJ sets and solo performances planned for August. Check out the dates here…
