Toronto noise punks HSY will release their Bask LP on September 11th via Buzz Records, and today we checkout the band’s new video for “Scratch“. Directed by Chris Chami, the visuals feature a psychotronic mash-up of B-movie horror, vintage advertising, and other “found” material. Jude, the group’s single monikered founder, recently explained to Impose:
““Scratch” was the first song I ever wrote for HSY, and I think I was like 15 or 16 years old, so I always consider the song to be an immature love letter to myself…With the video I kinda just let Chami take the reigns on the whole thing, I told him what the song was about and gave him some old footage I had and told him to go wild. I think he did a good job capturing the whole teenage vibe of erratic thoughts and feelings”.
HSY will play two upcoming live shows in Toronto next month. Here are the dates…
09/07 Toronto, ON, Lee’s Palace w/ Old Man Gloom & Mare
09/17 Toronto, ON, Garrison w/ The Nihilist Spasm Band
