Today we checkout Locrian‘s new video for “Heavy Water“, off their brilliant 2015 LP Infinite Dissolution (Relapse). Directed by George Moore, the visuals opt for an abstract approach using amorphous color patterns and plenty of negative (black) space to create their hypnotic effect. Much like this track’s absorbing electronics, Moore’s oscillating forms present contrasting textures against an aphotic background. Eventually though, like in “Heavy Water”, a sense of drift is replaced by a coalescing urgency, and Moore follows suit visually with strange, alien architectures of color and form.
