There’s a razor sharp edge of danger to the music that Corrections House makes, and it’s hard to take your ears off of it! A “super group” of sorts, if by “super” you mean a group of avant miscreants culled from Metal’s darkest recesses, Corrections House includes producer, recording engineer, and musician Sanford Parker (Buried at Sea), Neurosis founder Scott Kelly, Yakuza’s Bruce Lamont, and Eyehategod vocalist Mike IX Williams. “Superglued Tooth” is the band’s new offering off their upcoming LP Know How To Carry A Whip, due out October 23rd via Neurot. Industrial grade sludge oozes from rusted out drums on this cut, as a mood of ritualized violence prevails. Meanwhile, Williams’ meth-dazed rants should give pause to anyone thinking of giving this desert drifter a ride, as his brain is definitely “squirmin’ like a toad”. Adding to the sonic mayhem, is the strange way this track seems to occasionally pile-up into a smoking wreck of itself, as beats and sequencing get rear ended into heaps of flaming metal. This one definitely leaves a mark!
