Watch: So Pitted “rot in hell”

Seattle punks So Pitted are Sub Pop’s newest signee, and the trio will release their LP label debut neo on February 19th, 2016. Bonding over a love of alt-rock bands like Rage Against the Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, and The Mars Volta, So Pitted proclaims, “Mudhoney is cool but Tad is rad”. And really, that’s a pretty fair entry point for this grungy threesome. “Keep the bar real low,” the band sings on “rot in hell“, and they do, mutilating a chord or two into sludgy submission with bored glee. One of the first songs So Pitted wrote together, “rot in hell” has that toxic, Green River glow to it! The video for the track was directed by Zoë Sauer, and the appropriately off-handed visuals feature the band, plus a friend, stumbling thru the song in their claustrophobic practice space. Later, the group enters a heated discussion about carrots! Not to be missed.
