Today we dig on some of Kent, WA’s finest sludge via So Pitted‘s new track “feed me“, off the band’s upcoming debut album neo–due out February 19th on Sub Pop. The group’s first salvo from the record came out last year, the raw nerve scrapings of “rot in hell“, and while that cut could hardly restrain it’s sonic hysteria, this new effort zero’s in on a more catatonic vibe. [contextly_sidebar id=”cc864BgBdrFeBkfab529ce7cls7gTTym”]Stripped back and repetitive low end forms a downward emotional spiral here, as shards of guitar ring out like a bad tooth ache or tighten around brain numb lines with a migraine’s mounting throb. Meanwhile, monotone vocals intone variations on the “Want you/Feed you” theme in a mindless staccato cadence, as this track churns with an industrial size belly ache.
