Sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches, as Mass Gothic‘s Noel Heroux recently found out after a “high concept” video shoot for “Every Night You’ve Got To Save Me” didn’t turn out as planned. As he explained today to the Village Voice, “We were like, ‘Alright, shit, if this didn’t work, what are we going to do?’ So we just went out to see what was happening and did what we normally do. It ended up being the most natural thing.” This more low key and unforced approach finds Heroux and his wife, fellow musician and bandmate Jessica Zambri, stumbling around NYC with a karaoke mic and bottle of Jagermeister in tow–and what d’ya know, Sub Pop founder Jonathan Poneman even makes a random, street walking cameo.
Look for Mass Gothic to release their self-titled debut on February 5th via Sub Pop. In addition, the band will kick off a US tour that week. Here are the upcoming dates…
