Canadian electronic producer/vocalist Jessy Lanza has released the second single from her upcoming LP Oh No, due out May 13th on Hyperdub. The new cut features sassy vocals, with the singer informing us right off the bat: “I can say it to your face/but it doesn’t mean a thing”. Punctuated with a big fat “No!”, things get worked up pretty fast as hi-hats ripple across the track’s hair-trigger beats while Lanza laces her joint with an infectious strain of Detroit funk.
