The Besnard Lakes have a new video for their track “Necronomicon“, off the band’s most recent LP A Coliseum Complex Museum, which came out this past January on Jagjaguwar. Directed by Nathaniel Larouche, and featuring visual effects from Josh Mak, Yawar Raja, and Kaiser Thomas, the video depict a spore-like ball of light ejected from some massive space structure. Seen hurtling thru space, it eventually enters the atmosphere of a distant planet, passing thru cloudy layers over it’s crystalline architecture until it encounters a similar ball of light. Uniting their energies in an ecstatic dance before jettisoning back off into outer space, this beautiful video echoes “Necronomicon”‘s uplifting reminder: “We are at home”.
