Rangda, the “3-Headed Gorgon” of psych that includes guitarists Sir Richard Bishop and Ben Chasny, as well as drummer Chris Corsano, released their awesome new LP The Heretic’s Bargain last month on Drag City. Today we check out the trio’s new video for “The Sin Eaters“, directed by Elisa Ambrogio (Magik Markers). The guitarist recently provided visuals for The High Llamas‘ track “McKain James”, and here she follows suit with another whimsical collection of homespun stop motion animation. Psychedelically patterned backgrounds become the stage for cut-outs of roses, skulls, and bongs or playful objects like an orange and some felt mice while Rangda provides a taut and blazing soundtrack. The band is currently playing a handful of live US dates before heading off for a three-day residency at London’s Cafe OTO in July. You can check out the band’s tour dates here…
