Watch Carla dal Forno’s “Fast Moving Cars” Video
Blackest Ever Black reports that Carla dal Forno (F ingers, Tarcar, Mole House) will release her debut solo single “Fast Moving Cars” on April 29th, and today we watch her new video for the track. Somehow hot and cold all at once, dal Forno’s stark dub-centric arrangement is cool to the touch, even as she informs her lover that she is turned on by fast cars, chiding “…don’t be so daft/do something exciting”. While the cut opens with the sound of thunder and the reverbed howl of wind, the video for “Fast Moving Cars” takes another tact. Following a sundress clad protagonist down a river path, the video’s arid but lush environment provides an intriguing contrast to the track’s sonic qualities, and when she undresses and jumps into the river the inducement to “come on be reckless” takes on a playfully seductive quality that will have you wanting to do the same. BEB reports that “Fast Moving Cars” will also be on a new LP due out later this fall from the artist, so keep your eyes out!
