Listen to Aos “Limerence”:
Aos is Seattle-based electronic music producer Kayla Waldorf and she will release her debut EP, 90 East, on September 30th via Blankstairs. Waldorf’s essentialized and minimal brand of techno is colored here by a wistful sense of place and travel. 90 East is your ticket out of the crowded city and over the mountain pass to snow capped vistas and seemingly endless forest. On “Limerence“, the producer combines deep shudders of chthonic bass with the steady throb of a cloudy kick, before padded ambience threads thru the simmering mist like shards of muted light. Eventually, industrial-tinged percussive elements fill out “Limerence” with sharper contrasting textures while propelling the track onto an elegantly ominous groove.
