Listen to Tim Browning & the Widowmakers’ Track “Gasoline”:
Hailing from the hills of West Virginia, Tim Browning & the Widowmakers play whiskey-soaked rock with their guitars on fire. The band’s new 8-track LP, Bad Intentions, is a self-released affair and today we check out the album’s hard-driving cut, “Gasoline“. Throughout the record, Browning, and fellow guitarists Jordan McCown and Beevare Jeffrey conjure an incendiary brand of 70’s rock with their muscular, harmonizing lines, and “Gasoline” is no exception. Built around a stomping backbeat, Browning adds fuel to the flames with sharp lyric lines that cut to the bone. “I am flesh and blood/and something in between”, he informs us, before narrating a poetic tale of lust and dissolution–but these boys know how to make even this fall from grace a thrilling ride!
