Watch Carla dal Forno’s “What You Gonna Do Now?” Video
This past April Carla dal Forno dropped her debut solo single, “Fast Moving Cars”, and now we have news that she will release her You Know What It’s Like LP on October 7th via Blackest Ever Black. In anticipation of the upcoming record, the artist has a new video for the album’s second single, “What You Gonna Do Now?“. Discussing the track with The FADER, dal Forno explained that the song “wrote itself”, saying:
“I came up with the chords on a guitar, and then when I started singing along, the words ‘what you gonna do now…’ came out. Imagine being able to have that much control and power over someone and enact revenge…It’s not something I’d ever want, but it’s fun to mess around with that concept in a song”.
The visuals for the track were shot this June in Berlin by Matthew Linde, and they follow dal Forno as she explores the city on foot and via train and bus. Casually disarming and intimate, they are the perfect counter to her cool and detached exploration of emotional ambivalence on this stark, dubbed cut.
