Thomas Werbrouck‘s Krankland project is getting set to release their debut LP Wanderrooms on September 30th. We first heard from the Belgian musician’s project with the release of the album’s initial single, “In the Realms of the Unreal“, this past April. While that track offered a heady, psychedelic groove, “Summer Avalanche” is candy sweet jangle-pop. Intoxicating none the less, this cut’s sugar rush celebrates sun and romance, but when Werbrouck sings “We drag our feet/to forever feel free”, one senses he knows even this season will draw to a close. So, soak it up while you can, cause “Summer Avalanche” still has plenty of sunny days ahead. The video for the track is directed by Kim Vandenbergh and Kristof Van Den Bergh, and it stars the young actors Zjoske van den Wouwer and Yasko Bracke. The camera follows the pair on their aimless and amorous pursuits, and on this long day, anything seems possible!
