Watch Thee Oh Sees’ Video “Dead Man’s Gun”:
Thee Oh Sees excellent LP A Weird Exits is out now on Castle Face Records, and today we check out the band’s new video for the album track, “Dead Man’s Gun“. Directed by Matt Yoka, longtime video collaborator with Ty Segall, as well as a frequent contributor to VICE, this new offering really gets at the track’s nervous, itchy energy with some potentially disturbing footage. What appears to be cinéma vérité documentation of meth production, complete with a frightening cast of “drugged out” wiggers, is actually a cleverly produced video utilizing some excellent make-up effects and a small troop of dancers choreographed by Danielle Agami of Ate9 Dance Company. Good thing, cause watching “Dead Man’s Gun” had me seriously worried about this crew’s well-being!
