This past November Matt Weiner‘s solo project TWINS released a mini-LP called Rather Not via the Dutch label Enfant Terrible. “Stuck“, a track featuring darkly tinged electro-pop, was a real stand out from the collection. This new video for the cut was directed by Stefania Antonucci, and Weiner himself, who also stars as the main protagonist here. The musician is seen wandering various outdoor landscapes with his black-clad figure often dwarfed by these wide expanses. In one scene, for instance, Weiner is seen navigating a dilapidated boardwalk over a swampy estuary. The footage is presented in black and white and with impossibly gray skies piled high above and stark leafless trees all around there’s a mood of mystery and loneliness that matches this track’s longing for forward motion.
If you live in Atlanta you can catch TWINS live tonight at the dance club 529. Look for the musician to be joined by fellow CGI and DKA artists like Bergsonist, Prostitutes, and Anticipation.
