Pissed Jeans have a new video for “The Bar Is Low“. The track is the lead single off the band’s upcoming LP Why Love Now, out today on Sub Pop. Co-produced by punk legend Lydia Lunch, metal stalwart Arthur Rizk (Eternal Champion, Goat Semen), as well as Pissed Jeans themselves, the new record is filled with the kind of grit and humor we’ve come to expect from these four miscreants.
The video for the track was directed by Joe Stakun, who also did the honors on “Bathroom Laughter,” “Romanticize Me,” and “Boring Girls”. “The Bar Is Low” finds the band in the gym pumping a little iron, but these guys might want to invest in some personal trainers before they end up hurting themselves. When a rival gang of buff weight lifters arrives, the competition is on–well, sort of. Pissed Jeans might want to stick to the music, though, as a career in athletics doesn’t seem to be in their future.
