Damaged Bug‘s track “Rubber Lips” is on an upcoming split 7″ with Black Pus due out April 7th via Famous Class Records. The release is part of the label’s Less Artists More Condos series that honors the passing of Famous Class partner Ariel Panero. All the past proceeds from the series’ digital sales have been donated to the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music, but the label has announced that for this release they will be changing things up a bit by donating to the ACLU.

Past LAMC efforts have featured artists like A Place To Bury Strangers, Deerhoof, Ty Segall, and Xiu Xiu, to name a few. For this new installment, Thee Oh Sees’ Jon Dwyer returns, though, this time it’s under his Damaged Bug guise. The premise for the series finds the A-side artist picking an “emerging” artist for the B-side, and in this case, Dwyer has chosen Lightning Bolt drummer Brian Chippendale’s solo project Black Pus.

Damaged Bug’s funky track “Rubber Lips” finds Dwyer shaking his Can for some kraut infused fun that features the multi-instrumentalist performing all the parts. If you like your prog-jam with plenty of German mustard, this pickle sandwich will definitely be for you!
