Playing a little catch up (and mustard) today…Excited to hear !!!‘s new LP Shake The Shudder is due out May 19th via Warp Records. This week the band released a new video for the album’s title track “The One 2“. Directed by Will Galperin, it features the dancers Natsuki Miya and Ai Shimatsu performing an athletic and eye catching routine. Set in the “historic LA venue Jalisco,” Miya and Shimatsu more than hold their own in this intimate space while charging it with their exhilarating energy.
This week !!! also posted a Spotify playlist “that kinda shows where some of the ideas for our new record ‘Shake the Shudder’ come from.” Featuring everything from Bill Withers to Madonna, the band goes on to explain:
“This doesn’t always mean that’s what we’re listening to per se, often we’re listening to totally different things, but they just don’t end up influencing the record. Other times, we end up talking about some song we haven’t listened to in years as a reference point. Whatever the case, these r some starting points for u, so don’t have your mind too blown when our record drops.”
