Dusty is a Seattle indie rock trio with an upcoming self-titled cassette due out via Den Tapes on August 12th. “Wolves” is the first single from the band’s debut and it’s a rollicking introduction to the kind of epic pop this band is capable of. The track comes barreling out of the gates on Michael Sampson‘s galloping guitar-line, and he spurs on bassist Joe Holcomb and drummer Dylan Ramsey as they help lead the charge full speed ahead. Hammond organ eventually adds a vintage vibe to the song, capturing lightning in a bottle, as this track races down back country roads for the deep woods. Featuring Sampson’s impassioned vocals, as he delivers a harrowing tale under the cover of moonlight, “Wolves” is quite the opening salvo from this promising band’s debut.

If you live in Seattle, don’t miss Dusty live for their Cassette Release Show on August 12th at the Machine House Brewery in Georgetown. Here is a Facebook Event Link for the gig which will also feature headliners Wild Powwers, as well as the bands Happy Times Sad Times and Screaming Multitudes.
