Le Chocolat Noir is a Croatian-based DJ/producer/musician, and his upcoming limited edition 12″ Autonomie is due out next month on Gooiland Elektro. With a handful of releases on label’s like Mélodies Souterraines, Helena Hauff’s Return to Disorder, and Spain’s Frigio Records, to name a few, Le Chocolat Noir also hosts his radio show Disco Panonia via Intergalactic FM on Tuesdays from 8 pm to 9 pm CET.
“Dans Mon Désordre” is the second A-side track off Autonomie and our first listen in on the upcoming EP. Dark electro urges predominate here as LCN etches industrial atmosphere into this techno driven track. Opening with gritty blasts of bass tone, “Dans Mon Désordre” emits an ominous mood like a set of truck tires on fire in a rusted out scrap yard. Smoldering in black smoke, LCN taps out a ghostly kick drum pattern and clipped rim shot before adding his spectral vocals to the cut. Eventually, a crusty core of acidic magma bubbles to the surface, while this track percolates in its’ anxious tension.
Look for the Autonomie 12″ to be issued in a run of 200 copies via Gooiland Elektro this coming September. While a definite release date has yet to be announced, the label reports it expects copies to go out by mid September.
