The LA psych-pop band James Supercave is currently on a co-headlining West Coast tour with The Seshen. Live Eye Tv caught up with the band last night in Seattle at The Sunset Tavern. The group’s 2016 LP Better Strange (Fairfax Recordings) is a rhythmic blend of psycho-activating influences. Groove driven and often laced with candy sweet harmonies, the band’s pop-driven aesthetic never sacrifices the weirdness because everything’s better strange! Performing as a five-piece last night, with vocalist/guitarist Joaquin Pastor‘s infectious presence leading the charge thru a set featuring a heavy dose of Better Strange standouts, the band’s heady pop never lost its’ funky vibe.
