Meet the boys in Bee Bee Sea, an Italian psych rock trio from the small city of Castel Goffredo! The band is getting set to follow up their self-titled 2015 LP debut with their newest long-player Sonic Boomerang, out November 17th via Dirty Water Records (digital, cassette)/Wild Honey Records (vinyl).
Pretty sure you won’t find The CG on a list of Top Surfing Spots currently, though the cats in Bee Bee Sea might have something to say about that. “D.I. Why Why Why” finds the band using psychedelic bubblegum for surf wax before they drop in on a tasty wave with a supercharged lick from guitarist Damiano Negrisoli. Turning their amps up to 11 for a raucous ride, the group delivers plenty of revved up garage energy on this shout-along track that finds the high times wasting while the guys in Bee Bee Sea wonder, in a head swirling chorus, “Why, why, why.” Fans of labels like Castle Face Records and In the Red will find much to love here.
