Label News: Dirty Water Records to Re-Release The Cavemen’s Self-Titled Debut

Today’s news from Dirty Water Records comes with an FCC Warning about “heavy sex, drugs and anti-social references”–which means it’s right up our alley. New Zealand miscreants The Cavemen dropped their glue huffing, beer guzzling self-titled debut back in 2015 and the now legendary celebration of excess and debauchery is being re-released on January 30th via the punk label Dirty Water Records. The label reports that the album will come out on blood red vinyl with the bonus tracks “Swamp Thing” and “Juvenile Delinquent” added for good measure.

Proving it’s better to burn out than fade away, The Cavemen know how to make living wrong sound right. The band’s debut features plenty of amphetamine-popping, three-chord abuse and the kind of lyrics that you can shout along to–even with a gun in your mouth. Frontman Paul Caveman unleashes his lobotomized howls throughout, while fellow Caveman brother Jack tortures his guitar with hopped-up licks and downward spiraling solos. Whether it’s meeting a cool chick at the cemetery, skipping school to plan a crime spree, or just hangin’ out at the pub, these juvenile delinquents were definitely born to hate. There’s probably a special place in hell for The Cavemen, and I’m sure it’s quite the party!
