Loma‘s self-titled debut came out this past February on Sub Pop, and today we watch their new video for the track “White Glass.” The band features Shearwater vocalist Jonathan Meiburg, as well as Cross Record’s Emily Cross and Dan Duszynski. The group met while touring Europe back in 2016 and after a memorable show in Belgium Meiburg approached the pair about working together–leading to this year’s excellent LP release.
“White Glass” is a minimalist pop construction of stark beauty propelled by stately tom rolls, pulsing bass, and Emily Cross’ spell-binding vocals. The musician directs and stars in the visuals for the song, and they find her with black marker and sketch pad illustrating the track’s rousing lyrics.
