The Seattle-based hard rock trio Sandrider is getting set to release their Armada LP on July 20th via Good to Die Records. The album will be their third long-player and first in five years. Today the band premiered the record’s first single “Creep” via Invisible Oranges. Opening with a staccato twitch of guitar as it scratches out a desperate SOS over ghostly vocal whispers, it’s not long before the group drops a colossal Thor’s hammer of adrenaline-fueled rock. Bassist/vocalist Jesse Roberts and drummer Nat Damm deliver towering low-end and teeth-grinding speed, while guitarist/singer Jon Weisnewski spins out white-knuckled riffs and spine-shuddering banshee wails. Alternating between lock-step thrash and prog-like flights of metal-tinged fantasy, “Creep” finds the trio still donning their heavy weight title of Best Band in the Universe.
You can catch Sandrider at their FREE Easy Street Records in-store on Friday, July 20th. The band will also play a Record Release show at the Crocodile on July 28th. Check out a full list of Sandrider’s upcoming tour dates after the YouTube embed below…
