Will Wiesenfeld of Baths returns this year under his moniker Geotic. The electronic musician will release his 8-track LP Traversa on October 19th via Ghostly International. Discussing the upcoming album, Wiesenfeld explains:
“The whole inspiration of this record is borne of that feeling when travel is good and you can let your brain go where it wants to.”
Traversa got its’ start last year in New York as the musician was preparing a record release show for his 2017 Geotic LP Abysma–also out on Ghostly International. In need of more material for his set, the bones of these songs began to take shape and were later finished at Wiesenfeld’s home studio in Los Angeles. “Gondolier” offers us our first listen in on the upcoming album, and its’ transportive melody and propulsive rhythm offer the perfect launching point for your next armchair travels.
